Cancellation conditions for confirmed reservations 

In order to deal with this exceptional situation, we have put in place a special cancellation policy. 


Rental process and sanitary procedure

For areas not affected by the confinement, rentals can take place under conditions of compliance with governmental measures. Each boat must undergo a special sanitary cleaning, and follow a handling procedure respecting the social distancing instructions.

Conditions of eligibility 

These provisions only apply to reservations with private individuals. For rentals made with professional renters*, please contact us at 

Rentals must meet at least one of the following criteria: 

If your country or area of residence is confined due to Covid19.

The rentals concerned must meet at least one of the following criteria: 

  • Rentals with a port of departure, or an owner domiciled, in one of the confined areas. 
  • Rentals where the tenant is domiciled in a confined area (proof of residence less than 3 months old required).


Terms of rescheduling and cancellation 

It is possible to reschedule the rental at no cost for a departure within the next 12 months. 

To do so, you have to click on the "modify reservation" button directly on your SamBoat space, on your reservation.  This modification must be validated by the owner. 

If you do not have a pontential rescheduling date, you can make a cancellation request. You will receive a rental credit in the form of a coupon that can be used on a future confirmed rental within 12 months of the cancellation of the initial rental. The renter will be informed of the cancellation policy for their rental when the cancellation request is processed.

The rental credit will be used for future rentals and will be deducted from the new rental amount when the coupon is entered at the time of payment for the next rental.


Terms and Conditions for Owners

In the event of a cancellation of an eligible rental, the boat owner will not incur any cancellation fees and their positive response rate will not be affected. The owner will not be entitled to any compensation.
