The brilliant innovation of a walk-around side-deck is so simple but so logical, that it is a wonder it has never been done before. The side deck slopes down towards the helm station on each side so that there is no more clambering over thwarts and coamings to get to the side deck – you simply walk around the helm. The aft cabins are not compromised, as the 410 carries her beam well aft. The design excels below decks as well. Instead of a V berth double forward, the double is offset, to give a Queen-sized double to starboard, with an en-suite head and shower on the port side. The two double berths aft share a head and shower which is on the starboard side of the saloon. Another stroke of brilliance is that all drawers and cabinets open parallel to the centreline, so nothing flies out when opened underway.
