The Sun Odyssey 34.2 designed by architect Jacques Fauroux is a comfortable cruising boat from the French shipyard Jeanneau. Equipped with a powerful and balanced hull, it prefers medium intensity winds, but suffers a little from light breezes due to the limited sail surface and significant displacement; the fixed drift fin has a draft of 1.90 metres. The cockpit is large, with a central wheel and instrument console, but there are only two winches (on the deckhouse) for maneuvering. The jib cars and mainsail traveler are also positioned on the deckhouse. The version has three double cabins, in the saloon there is an original oval seat; the kitchen is on the side, with the chart table on the starboard side and the bathroom on the left.

Dotato di una carena potente ed equilibrata predilige i venti di media intensità, soffre un po’ le brezze leggere a causa della superficie velica limitata e del dislocamento importante; la pinna di deriva fissa è con pescaggio di 1,90 metri. Il pozzetto è largo, con ruota centrale e consolle degli strumenti, ma ci sono solo due winch (sulla tuga) per le manovre. Anche i carrelli del fiocco e il trasto della randa sono posizionati sulla tuga. La versione è con tre cabine doppie, in quadrato c’è un’originale seduta ovale; la cucina è a murata, con il tavolo da carteggio a dritta e il bagno a sinistra.
