Hello, I am Ronan

We had a great time with the Clarabella. Made a nice 2-week trip from St. Martin to Guadeloupe and back. Unfortunately we experienced some engine problems around Guadeloupe, but Ronan managed to get everything sorted by his connections over there, minimising the impact on our journey. Clarabella may be a bit older, but sails great and has all the facilities you may need. Thanks for the great holiday we had!

We spent 2 wonderful weeks on the sailboat Clarabella. Clarabella is a bit old, but she runs great, thanks to the new sails. The engine was also well maintained and there were plenty of tools and spare parts on board - you can tell that the owner Ronan is a ship mechanic! Ronan himself is an extremely kind and helpful person and was available to us by phone or WhatsApp at any time of the day during our trip. The communication has potential, it was a bit bumpy at the beginning via Samboat, perhaps one of the reasons is the time difference (-6 hours CET vs. St. Martin). We still recommend Ronan with his Clarabella and think we will come back!

Wir hatten 2 wunderschöne Wochen auf dem Segelboot Clarabella verbracht. Clarabella ist zwar schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber sie läuft super, was den neuen Segeln zu verdanken ist. Auch der Motor war gut gewartet und es gab jede Menge Werkzeug und Ersatzteile an Board - man merkt, dass der Eigner Ronan ein Schiffsmechaniker ist! Ronan selbst ist ein äußerst liebenswerter und hilfsbereiter Mensch und stand uns während unseres Törns zu jeder Tageszeit telefonisch bzw. per (Contact information hidden) zur Verfügung. Potential hat die Kommunikation, diese war zu Beginn über Samboat etwas holprig, vielleicht ist einer der Gründe die Zeitverschiebung ( - 6 Std.MEZ vs. St. Martin). Wir empfehlen Ronan mit seiner Clarabella dennoch weiter und denken, dass wir wieder kommen!

We spent a wonderful week in the Caribbean with six friends. Communication with Ronan and his wife was quick and easy. Both are very friendly and helpful. We sailed towards the island of St. Kitts. Despite the fact that the boat is a bit older, it is well preserved and the drive elements work well and reliably. The space of the sailboat is also used very well and is suitable for six adults.

We had a warm welcome from Ronan and Lucile. They were very responsive to our inquiries through the SAMBOAT web interface. Their sailboat Clarabella is from 2007 but in very good condition. Mainsail and genoa are new. This Dufour 385 is a very good marine boat. No particular problems during our navigation from St Martin to the British Virgin Islands.

Nous avons eu un bon accueil de la part de Ronan et Lucile. Ils ont été très réactifs à nos demandes de renseignements par l’interface web de SAMBOAT. Leur voilier Clarabella est de 2007 mais, en très bon état. La GV et le génois sont neuf. Ce Dufour 385 est un très bon bateau marin. Pas de problèmes particuliers durant notre navigation de St Martin aux Îles Vierges Britanniques.
