The Baia Shipyards are synonymous with Italian style and quality throughout the world in the production of motor boats. The brand was born in the metropolitan area of Naples and today has offices in the main focal points of international boating. The history of Cantieri Baia begins in 1961 with an initial production focused on wood as the key material. These are boats designed to spend your free time at sea. Under the leadership of the Capassos, in 1977, Cantieri Baia presented the first Pascià, a cutting-edge fiberglass boat for those years and which allowed the brand to gain significant international notoriety, particularly appreciated overseas. The 1980s are characterized by the rise of Cantieri Baia on the international market: the creation of the B81 and then the B50, the latter which follows the American models, allow the brand to land on the US market and open the first office in Miami in 1984. In the 1990s, boats such as the B60 and B40 were created. These are years in which the management of Cantieri Baia works to perfect the internal spaces and the comfort of the boats in general. From 1995 onwards, exports represent approximately 80% of total turnover. Il brand nasce nell’area metropolitana di Napoli e oggi ha sedi nei principali punti nevralgici della nautica internazionale. La storia di Cantieri Baia comincia nel 1961 con una produzione iniziale focalizzata sul legno quale materiale cardine. Si tratta di imbarcazioni pensate per trascorrere il proprio tempo libero in mare. Sotto la guida dei Capasso, nel 1977, Cantieri Baia presenta il primo Pascià, un’imbarcazione in vetroresina all’avanguardia per quegli anni e che consente al brand di ottenere un’importante notorietà internazionale, particolarmente apprezzato oltreoceano. Gli anni ’80 si caratterizzano per la scalata di Cantieri Baia sul mercato internazionale: la creazione del B81 e poi del B50, quest’ultimo che ricalca i modelli americani, consentono al brand di sbarcare nel mercato USA e di aprire il primo ufficio a Miami nel 1984. Negli anni ’90 vengono create barche come il B60 e il B40. Sono anni in cui il management di Cantieri Baia lavora per perfezionare gli spazi interni e il confort delle imbarcazioni in generale. Dal 1995 in avanti le esportazioni rappresentano circa l’80% del fatturato totale.
