The boat was ready when we arrived at the marine and so we were able to board immediately. WE did have to wait then 2 hours before Dario came to show us the boat. The boat is 9 years old and shows its age with multiple areas of damage. The engine and sails worked well. The inhaul for the Genoa goes on a track under a forward stanchion and gets stuck easily. The transom had a motor and rope to lower it down. The motor stopped working and Dario sent us info to re set it but this did not worth. We had to replace some old and frayed wiring to the motor to make is work. Later the rope snapped as it was quite worn/frayed. The screws holding the outboard engine to the boat were seized up and in the process of trying to undo it the lever at the end of the screw sheared off. We had to use a spanner and pliers to remove the motor and fix it on the tender. If our crew did not have the skill set to sort these issues out we would have been stuck waiting for help.

Es un buen Barco y el personal de la marina (Roberto y team) han sido muy amables con todo. El barco está muy usado y sin mantenimiento. Faltan muchas cosas, no dejan nada para limpiar. El Dingüi, por el que pagamos 400€. Ha sido un auténtico desastre, un motor viejo con muchos problemas que no pudimos usar y que nos dejó tirados varias veces. Un peligro en caso de emergencia. En las condiciones iniciales, deja bien claro que se puede pagar en efectivo. 2 días antes nos dicen que no, que solo por tarjeta y esto fue un gran problema para nosotros por que no estábamos en nuestro país y los bancos cobran muchas comisiones. Avisan de “nuevas” condiciones, dos días antes. Nos exigieron la fianza antes de ver el barco, por (Contact information hidden). (En las condiciones deja bien claro, que no hagamos eso nunca. Que revisemos el barco y luego la fianza. Pero, cambian las condiciones 2 días antes. De resto han estado atentos a todo lo que necesitamos en el viaje y el barco en general, está muy bien.

Der Kontakt mit den Mitarbeitern von SailingRace vor Ort war gut. Das Boot hatte überdurchschnittliche Verschleisserscheinungen. Insgesamt war zwar die Funktionalität nicht beeinträchtigt. Das Kochgeschirr war teils unbrauchbar. Auch in puncto Sauberkeit waren Mängel vorhanden. Offensichtlich wurde nur bis ca. Hüfthöhe geputzt. Fazit: Eine erneute Charter bei SailingRace schließe ich aus.

great boat, excellent service!

The people service was super kind but super slow, the boat was in a poor condition. I know it was an old boat, but to many small things which could be easily fixed was not in order.
