Overview of Grimaud
 

Grimaud is located in the Var, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte-D'azur region. The Mediterranean Sea flows along the city and the boat trips to take are many. Port Grimaud was created in the 1960's when Francois Spoerry, an Alsatian architect, bought these swamp lands to build his dream city. This explains the originality of the architecture of the city, with its small and very colourful embedded houses.

Today, Port Grimaud offers twelve kilometres of docks and a harbour that can accommodate up to 2,000 boats. Each year, the city attracts several hundred thousand visitors. With its mild climate, sandy beaches, large palm trees, its cosy little streets, and its famous market, Port Grimaud is a first-class destination for your holidays with friends, family, or lover.

The beach at the city centre of Port Grimaud is the main beach of the town. Located on the edge of the city centre, it extends over several hundred meters just in front of Saint-Tropez. East of the beach, you can find the main holiday villages and campsites, going west the beach is more quiet and wild. You can find bars and restaurants nearby to eat. It is the most easily accessible beach of Port Grimaud.

The old mill beach is more difficult to access. At about two kilometres away from the exit of Port Grimaud on the road to Frejus, it can only be reached by car. You can either access it by bike, or park at the Guerrevieille beach and then walk to it. Once there, you will enjoy a beach more wild and quiet than the main square of Port Grimaud. With its very little tourism, it is a true gem of the Mediterranean coast. To get to Grimaud to you can rent a boat in Sainte Maxime and sail all the coast.
