At the end of the cruise, the Odysseus.gr organization blamed me for the slightly deflated side of the dinghy, even though we had taken it in the same condition. I contested this to no avail. Furthermore, the passage over a boat's mooring line in the port of Sivota had damaged the engine propeller's safety device. I was asked to pay either €800 by credit card or in cash, and it was €500!! I paid...
Note that the boat has two problems: the engine control is located at ground level on the starboard side, next to the helm and in the same place as the crew member in charge of the mooring line: it's difficult for the helmsman-skipper to see the docking well in these conditions... The bow thruster control quickly becomes very hot on the finger. Why?
A la fin de la croisière, l’organisation d’Odysseus.gr m’a imputé le côté de l’annexe un peu dégonflé alors que nous l’avions pris dans le même état, j’ai contesté sans résultat. D’autre part, le passage sur la pendille d’un bateau au port de Sivota avait endommagé la sécurité de l’hélice du moteur. On m’a demandé soit de payer en carte de crédit 800 € ou en billets et c’était 500 € !! J’ai payé …
A noté que le bateau a 2 problèmes : la commande du moteur est située au ras du sol à tribord à côté de la barre et au même endroit que l’équipier en charge de l’amarre : difficile de bien voir l’accostage dans ces conditions pour le barreur-skipper… La commande du propulseur d’étrave est très rapidement brûlante pour le doigt Pourquoi ?

It was the first time in many years we had rented a boat to sail the North Ionian. We have used Sam boats to book in the past but never used this rental company.
There were quite a few issues with the boat; the bow thruster was removed before we left the marina as it wasn't working, an electrician had to be called out as the instruments weren't working, there was only 1 water tank in operation, the windlass continually slipped and the anchor had to be manually pulled up if it was dropped in water deeper than 12 meters.
We had paid for an early check in, due to the problems that were found with the boat we didn't manage to get out of Gouvia until after 5pm. The company did refund the money we had paid for the early check-in.
Overall we had a good weeks sailing, the low review is down to the issues we had with the boat.
